Suzuki Recalls Grand Vitaras, SX4s

To those in the know, Suzuki’s excellent and diminutive four wheel drive offerings have provided reliable and well-designed transportation like only Japanese-assembled vehicles can.

But apparently owners of 2009-2010 model year SX4s and Grand Vitaras are being instructed to take their vehicles to their local dealerships in order to determine if their vehicle may be afflicted with a faulty belt tensioner pulley. If so, the pulley may cause the belt, which runs the water pump, air conditioner, alternator, and power steering pump to be thrown off the motor, causing a dramatic increase in steering effort.
