Dodge Considering Magnum Resurrection?

Published on July 18, 2011 in New Models by Dan Fritter

The Dodge Magnum was one awesome idea. Transforming a successful and popular platform into a muscle bound station wagon without incurring the costs that would typically be associated with inventing an entirely new model, it was reasonably popular with those wanting a bit more practicality than the Charger allowed.

But apparently, a certain Chrysler executive didn’t like it, so it died. Then, shortly thereafter, the unnamed executive left the company, leaving the Magnum faithful that remained to ponder what a new station wagon might look like… and not in an airy-fairy, blue-sky manner either, apparently. Because according to a recent interview, SRT president Ralph Gilles let slip that those Magnum aficionados outside the company should “stay tuned” as the brand promises that “great things are coming.” Sounds promising!
