Cadillac Debuts Most Gorgeous Cadillac Ever

Cadillac used to make some of the world’s best convertibles. From the late 30s right into the late 50s, the Standard of the World’s drop tops were some of the most luxurious and most luxurious looking vehicles in the world. But the later years have been as friendly to the brand. And although the SLR may have been a pretty cool looking vehicle, it never quite had the staying power to stick around.

But this one definitely does. Called the Ciel concept (which means sky in French, in what may be a nod to the most attractive roadster GM has produced lately), the four door, four seat convertible may not e totally production-ready, but should indicate the general direction of future Cadillac products. Exhibiting a softening of the modern Art and Science design language Cadillac uses, the Ciel could see production as the convertible version of an upcoming flagship sedan. However, whether or not the relatively wild interior (complete with aromatherapy controls and pull-out blankets) and 425 horsepower, twin-turbo V6 will make it down the production line is anyone’s guess.
