Dodge Caliber Production Nears End

Published on August 27, 2011 in New Models by Dan Fritter

It's hard to believe that it's still in production in the first place, but according to recent reports, that may change: Chrysler is killing off the Caliber.

Having replaced the once-wildly successful Neon, the Caliber's cute-ute shape and in-your-face advertising struggled to resound within any demographic, and the car's sometimes questionable qualities and interior treatment left many would-be buyers headed towards the competition's dealerships.

So, five years after its debut, the Caliber will finally meet the end of its existence shortly, when Dodge will apparently repurpose the underpinnings of the new Fiat 500 in order to fill the remaining gap in their lineup.
