2012 Tacoma Shows Off New Face

Published on September 3, 2011 in New Models by Dan Fritter

Well, it's not exactly all new, but at least 2012 will bear some fruit for Toyota's long-running small pickup truck. Emerging from a mostly-cosmetic refresh bearing a new front fascia, bumpers, and headlights, some of the options lists will change as well, with buyers of the TRD package being rewarded with such cutting-edge technology as side-mirror integrated turn indicators and 18" chrome wheels. Inside, a new dashboard, gauge cluster, console, and controls pair with the familiarly odd seating position, although true outdoorsmen (and women) will now be able to opt for waterproof seats. Underpinned by the already impressive Rubicon model, the new CoD edition piles on a unique hood, graphics, and a bunch of Mopar accessories that range from the winch-ready bumper to the rock rails. Pricing has yet to be released.
