Nissan Commits to Further Refinement of Titan

Published on October 22, 2011 in News by Dan Fritter

The Nissan Titan really isn’t a bad truck. But for all its big, burly, and quite competent ability, the biggest of Nissans hasn’t made much of a dent in the American manufacturer’s market share… and that doesn’t bother Nissan, apparently. According to Nissan America’s unfortunately-named chairman, Colin Dodge, the Titan isn’t even expected to really enter relevancy for another two or three product cycles, when it will finally become as competent as those that have been “doing it for 50 or 60 years.” With another Titan on tap for 2014, the long view Nissan’s taking with their full-size pickup bodes well for its future as it indicates a commitment many didn’t think existed. And as with anything else, it doesn’t hurt to have another competitor in the mix.
