BMW's Next-Gen 3-Series Debuts

Since the new 3-series debuted a few weeks ago, there’s been little news about the hottest of its variants, the M3… except that it’ll probably only be available in sedan form.  

With a long history of being available as a two door coupe as well as convertible, BMW North America’s move to make the previous generation M3 available in sedan form has been met with such lackluster sales that BMW themselves have considered scrapping the vehicle. However, in light the of the recent decision to move what would have been the next generation 3-series coupe into its own lineup (most likely called the 4-series), it sounds as if future generations of Bimmer-philes can look forward to a new M3 sedan, with the coupe and convertible versions falling under the M4 moniker.
