AEV Introduces Double Cab Jeep Truck
Although Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep have both been known to bring their fair share of crazy cars to the annual SEMA show, one of the most interesting vehicles to cross the show floor this year wears a Jeep badge, but comes from AEV; or American Expedition Vehicles.
Having made a name for themselves by capitalizing on a market Jeep seems committed to ignoring, AEV has been turning Jeep Wranglers into Jeep pickup trucks with their Brute kit ever since the old Jeep TJ. However, they've never made anything quite like this. After three years' worth of development, the Brute Double Cab finally has something to offer for those looking for a modicum of interior space and a pickup bed. Freely admitting the kit was inspired by the Land Rover Defender 130, an especially long wheelbase Defender Double Cab terminating in an abbreviated truck bed, AEV will offer the Brute Double Cab as a turn-key vehicle assembled at the firm's Wixon, MI plant.
