GM Investing $380 in Colorado Plant... in Missouri

Published on November 6, 2011 in News by Dan Fritter

Although the last generation Chevy Colorado may never have realized the same sales success as its S10 forebear, General Motors appears to be doing everything they can to ensure that the new, global Colorado starts life on the right foot. And that starts with the facility that will be building them. And as of last Thursday, it would appear that the Wentzville, Missouri factory tasked with the construction of the shapely pickup won't be left wanting. Having earmarked no less than $380 million dollars for updating and retooling the plant, GM has gone on record as saying that the expenditure will create or retain 1,260 jobs; undoubtedly good news for locals.
