Regina Concept Brings 80 mpg to Suzuki

Published on December 10, 2011 in Tokyo by Dan Fritter

Well, if there's anything in a name, then we should certainly look forward to seeing this car in Canada... or Saskatchewan, at least.

Called the Regina Concept, this diminutive car from Suzuki's booth at the Tokyo motor show demonstrates a future direction Suzuki may take with an extremely fuel efficient sedan. Weighing just 1,600 pounds, the tiny little sedan manages to make do with an equally diminutive 800cc engine huffing through a turbocharger. Also reported to feature start/stop technology and regenerative braking, the little car looks absolutely fantastic and would be a great way for Suzuki to ring in the next generation of their excellently engineered little cars.
