Dodge Bringing Next-Generation Dart for 2013

After the Neon lost its glow and the Caliber fell shy of its aim, Dodge knew they had to do something to reacquaint themselves with the small car marketplace. But what that plan was, was anyone's guess, until now.

With news that the next Dodge C-segment car will be unveiled at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, Chrysler has set tongues to wagging with these teaser photos of what will soon be known as the 2013 Dodge Dart. Although possessing a name that obviously pulls from one of the most loved small cars of America's history, the new Dart promises to be thoroughly modern, with numerous customizable touches inside a classically inspired body. With power coming from either 2.0L or 2.4L naturally aspirated four cylinders or a 1.4L turbocharged engine (borrowed from the Fiat 500 Abarth), and either six speed dual clutch or nine speed automatic, the Dart will be capable of obtaining a 40+ mpg rating.
