Toyota Supercharging iQ

Published on January 26, 2012 in New Models by Dan Fritter

With the Scion iQ nearly upon as the smart fortwo's sole true competitor, it would appear that Toyota is eager to up their tiny car's game. Recently announcing the production of the supercharged iQ concept we first saw at the 2011 Tokyo motor show, Toyota has partnered with Gazoo Racing in order to bring a limited number of the tiniest of hot hatches to light. Reportedly possessing an impressive 130 horsepower and 133 pound feet of torque, the little iQ will also be clothed in the same unapologetic, squared-off bodywork that the concept wore. However, with just 100 examples to be built, chances are good that you won't see many, or any, around here.
