Land Rover Hiring 1,000 More Employees for Evoque Production

Published on March 17, 2012 in News by Dan Fritter

It's no secret that Land Rover's new Range Rover Evoque has quickly found an eager market. Being snapped up in droves by everyone from Shangai to Hollywood, the shapely little 'ute looks to bring the storied marque back from the brink of destruction, and is poised to do it in a ridiculously fashionable manner to boot.

So, Land Rover can be forgiven, then, for not having enough staff on hand to build the damn things. According to a recent release, the Halewood plant tasked with producing the Evoque is looking to bring a further 1,000 staff on board to increase their output in order to meet demand. That should bring the plant to near critical production, and does wonders to quell any remaining rumours that Land Rover might suffer under Tata's management.
