2013 GMC Terrain: Enter the Denali

Published on April 6, 2012 in New York by Gilles Olivier

At GMC, high-end vehicles bear an exclusive name: Denali.

Until now, plusher Denali editions were exclusive to the big models, such as the GMC Yukon and GMC Sierra.

But that will soon change, as the GMC Terrain compact SUV comes out with a Denali version of its own.

Straight from the Big Apple

This swanky trim will be officially thrust into the public eye at the New York International Auto Show.

What do you get from a Denali?

New V6 engine

The entry-level 2013 GMC Terrain Denali is equipped with the same 2.4L 4-cylinder engine (182 hp).

However, the 3.0L V6 (264 hp) has been replaced by a 3.6L V6 (301 hp).

Both engines come with direct injection and are coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

All GMC Terrain vehicles are available with FWD or AWD.
