Corvette C7 nose job shows up online
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, you're well aware of precisely how long lived the C6 Corvette design is. Stretching all the way back to 2005, it's slated to finally see a replacement in 2014, but even with the release date looming (relatively, anyway!) Chevrolet isn't showing any of their cards.
So, with the cone of silence having descended over Bowling Green, we have had to rely on their parts suppliers to drop the ball... and they have. Thanks to a misstep by Omega Tool Corp, a video surfaced on Youtube demonstrating the digital 3D model of the new Corvette's fascia, and tooling that will produce it. Hardly groundbreaking in and of itself, the video didn't show more than the angular, pointy nose everyone expected, but it hardly makes it any less exciting to gaze upon. Looking as if it will be retaining the exposed headlight elements that made the C6 so controversial, the nose also features quite a bit more modern design overall, and should help bring Chevy's once-proud sports car back into the realm of relevance.
