2014 Acura MDX: The Definitive Model in New York

After unveiling the prototype at the Detroit International Motor Show, Acura is introducing the final version of the third-generation MDX SUV at the New York Auto Show.

The vehicle was designed and built around an all-new platform.

Style-wise, the new vehicle sports the same exterior as the prototype seen in Motor City, but it’s not exactly what you’d call revolutionary. Far from it, actually. The redesigned headlamps are enhanced by new LED strips on the front fascia.

Inside, the third row of seats is now much more accessible and the latest version of the AcuraLink connectivity system has been included.

Under the hood lies a 3.7-litre V6 that delivers 310 horsepower, which is 10 more ponies than the previous 3.5-litre.

It comes factory standard with front-wheel drive, though all-wheel drive is available on option.
