Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept to be Unveiled in Shanghai

The humongous Shangai Auto Show opens its doors next Sunday, and amongst the many unveilings we find the Mercedes-Benz GLA, a concept vehicle that appears very nearly production-ready.

This will be the world premiere of this compact luxury SUV, whose production version will go head-to-head with the Audi Q3, BMW X1, Range Rover Evoque and others that are still in development.

This vehicle is based on elements of the A and B Classes.

As is the tradition, the concept presents a face whose aggressive mug will probably be toned down for the production model.

Very nicely styled, the concept wears a fluid and graceful profile that should appeal to a vast customer base.

So nice, in fact, that the GLK may fall in its shadow.

After premiering the Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept in Shanghai, the Frankfurt Auto Show will have the chance of hosting the reveal of the production version, next September.
