2014 Mazda3 Sedan: First official photos

Last week, the new 2014 Mazda3 five-door hatchback was introduced.
And now they’ve released the first official photos of the sedan.
The car inherits the same lines as its big sister, the fully redesigned and revamped Mazda6. And that’s very good news.
Just like the Mazda CX-5 and Mazda6, the 2014 Mazda3 sedan has been infused with the brand’s exclusive Kodo style signature, which includes a flashier grille that the public seems to prefer.

A Skyactiv sedan

As with the hatchback, the sedan offered in North America will be available with your choice of two Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engines.
These engines – a 2.0-litre and a 2.5-litre, both of which have been taken from the Mazda CX-5 – produce 155 and 184 horsepower, respectively.
Both engines can be paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

The car also comes with the i-ELOOP system which uses a capacitor to store energy recovered from vehicle deceleration.
The new 2014 Mazda3 sedan and hatchback will make their public debuts in September at the Frankfurt International Auto Show.
They are expected to hit dealerships at the beginning of fall 2013.
