Subaru Canada Reports Record-Breaking July

    - Highest monthly sales ever for Subaru XV Crosstrek.
    - Record sales increase in July for Subaru BRZ and Forester.
    - Year-to-date sales are up 20.2 percent.
    - Best July ever for all four regions across Canada.

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) celebrates its fifth consecutive month of sales increases with 3,250 units retailed in July, a 37.6 percent increase over the same period last year. Year to date, Subaru is up 20.2 percent as the brand works towards another banner year, continuing the momentum set during a historically high first and second quarter.

Subaru's newest compact crossover, the XV Crosstrek, toppled all previous records as it revels in its best month ever with sales up 2.8 percent. Subaru's BRZ result experienced a dramatic increase in July with sales of the rear-wheel-drive sports coupe up 103 percent. Subaru Impreza and Forester sales also rose in July by 32.5 and 28.1 percent, respectively.
