Bugatti Loses $6.27 Million Per Vehicle Sold

In fact it’s the Volkswagen group that loses this amount each time a Bugatti Veyron is sold.

This is further evidence that several luxury manufacturers owe their existence to the fact that they depend on other auto giants. For example:
- Ferrari and Maserati belonging to the Italian Fiat group;
- Rolls Royce is part of the German automaker BMW;
- Bentley and Lamborghini are managed by Volkswagen.

All this comes from a study by Bernstein Research.

There is even another record set by the Bugatti brand, namely the greatest loss for each vehicle sold ...

Production of the Bugatti Veyron with its 8.0 litre W16 engine that develops 1001 or 1200 horsepower began in 2005.
