Long Waiting List for Chevy Corvette Stingray Z51

If you’re looking to buy a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51, get ready to wait a long time. The growing waiting list is apparently as long a one year for the American sports car.

Back in August, Chevy gave journalists from around the world the opportunity to test the new 2014 Stingray in Monterey, California.  Our own Benjamin Hunting was among the invited journalists to test the beast and you can read his review here.

The base model Corvette goes from zero to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds thanks to its 6.2-liter, 455 horsepower V8 engine that also produced 460lb-ft of torque.

The Z51 version adds a few new features such as a limited slip differential, slotted brake rotors and a dry-sump oil system.

GM expects the initial demand to subside and has no plans to increase production at this time.
