2014 Jeep Cherokee En Route Toward Dealerships

After four do-overs, the 2014 Jeep Cherokee is finally en route to showrooms .

All these delays have been caused by a very difficult connection between the new ZF automatic transmission and motor.  The major problem affecting mainly the 2.4-litre 4-cylinder Tigershark engine mated to this transmission was of a programming difficulty and not a mechanical complication.

Notwithstanding its grille, taste for which is far from unanimous , the vehicle has a much more interesting look than the Jeep Liberty.

It’s available in Sport, North, and Trailhawk Limited versions.

Engines with four and six cylinders:

- Tigershark 4-cylinder 2.4-liter 184 horsepower and 171 lb- ft of torque ;
- Pentastar V6 3.2-liter 271 horsepower and 239 lb- ft of torque.

Only an automatic transmission with nine speeds is available. Depending on the desired model, you have the choice between front-wheel drive or three 4X4 systems.

In Canada, the starting price of the Jeep Cherokee was set at $23 495.
