The South Korean manufacturer has unveiled the internet two official images of the next generation Genesis sedan.

On the market since 2008, the second version of the Hyundai Genesis will be officially unveiled in January at the International Auto Show in Detroit.

Aesthetically, it seems to opt for the four-door coupe style, a silhouette made popular by the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class.

Mechanically, it would likely retain the current V6 and V8 albeit redeveloped. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard.

The car will be sold in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions.

One thing to note is that the Hyundai Genesis Coupe will be withdrawn from the market.
