After its unveiling in Frankfurt alongside the Golf e-Up!, the e-Golf will make its way across the Atlantic this week to enjoy its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

It represents a great opportunity for Volkswagen of America to further inform us about the technical specifications of this all-electric version of the Volkswagen Golf.

The compact European e-Golf

On the Old Continent, the car has an electric unit that generates 115 horsepower and 199 lb-ft for torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds, while its top speed is 140 km/h. Range is about 190 km. A full charge using a 220V outlet should run about four hours.

This is the first all-electric vehicle that VW will offer in North America.
