Mercedes-Benz Vision AMG Gran Turismo Stuns at L.A. Auto Show

Mercedes-Benz stunned the crowd at the Los Angeles Auto Show by unveiling a flamboyant concept car called the Mercedes-Benz Vision AMG Gran Turismo.

Normally, video game developers strive to imitate or create real vehicles for their simulations but in this case, Mercedes-Benz seems to have developed the concept to be something straight out of a video game.

The swooping lines are reminiscent of the SLS on steroids. The wheel arches reach almost as high as the hood, there is a massive grille up-front and a boat tail in the rear. There are eight (count em') eight exhaust tips and the brake light actually runs between them.

It's unlikely Mercedes will bring this car to production, however it could be used as a template for whichever vehicle they design to replace the outgoing SLS. Mercedes did say the SLS replacement would be in a category that they currently do not compete in which means big changes are in store.
