The Cadillac ATS Coupe will most likely be powered by the same power plants currently offered in the ATS Sedan, namely:
- A 2.5 litre 4 cylinder making 202 horsepower;
- A turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder making 272-horsepower;
- A 3.6-litre V6 making 321 horsepower.
Cadillac unveiled the ATS in 2012 and started production in July of that year. The compact sedan hit the market in the fall as a 2013 model and is the smallest sedan in the Cadillac lineup, coming in below the mid-size CTS.
Cadillac had envisioned the CTS as a competitor to the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class however its size made it more suitable to go up against the BMW 5 Series, hence the birth of the ATS.
