Hyundai Grandeur Hybrid Introduced in South Korea

Published on December 20, 2013 in News by Gilles Olivier

The South Korean giant has launched the Grandeur hybrid sedan on the local market. The Grandeur is very luxurious and comes standard with heated seats wrapped in nappa leather, dual-zone air conditioning and a substantial infotainment and navigation system.

On our shores this vehicle was known as the Azera before being pulled from North American markets in 2013.

Hybrid powertrain

This Hyundai is powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder generating 159 horsepower and is mated to a 35 kW electric motor that adds 47 additional horsepower. In total, it has an output of 204 horsepower.

According to the manufacturer, its joint fuel consumption is only 6.2 L/100 km, which is pretty impressive considering its dimensions.

Unfortunately, it would be very surprising to again see the Hyundai Azera sedan on North American roads.
