Volvo Concept XC Coupe Shooting Brake

In Frankfurt, Volvo unveiled its Concept Coupe showcasing the Swedish brand’s new stylistic vision with a nod to the legendary P1800 E.

At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit the Volvo XC Concept Coupe will make an appearance bearing a shooting-brake style which is basically is a three-door sports wagon.

Although this concept is just a two-door hatchback, we are anticipating many similarities with the upcoming 2015 Volvo XC90. One can easily imagine that it might inherit a five-door coupe form similar to the very popular BMW X6.

The 2015 Volvo XC90 will be the first car from Volvo to use the new Scalable Product Architecture (SPS) platform, in addition to being powered by all-new four-cylinder engines from Volvo Environmental Architecture (VEA) program.

After the release of the next XC90 scheduled for the fall 2014, Volvo engineers will be busy renewing the XC60 and also developing a new ultra compact luxury SUV to bear the name XC40.
