The prestigious German manufacturer will unveil its S600 sedan in a World Premiere at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week.

True to tradition, the car is only available in a long wheelbase version.

Under its imposing hood is a 6.0 litew V12 biturbo engine that produces 517 horsepower.

A special variation of the Mercedes-Benz S600 could also bear the name Maybach.

Currently, the highest-end Mercedes-Benz S-Class is powered by a vigorous S63 AMG power plant.
