Chevrolet Silverado Reaper to Take on F-150 SVT Raptor

Lingenfelter and Southern Comfort Automotive have teamed up to develop the Chevrolet Silverado Reaper. Since GM has not put forth an official product yet - much to the dismay of GMC and Chevrolet truck fans – this seems like a no-brainer for these companies who specialize in high performance customization.

The Reaper is a more attractive, more aggressive and certainly more powerful Silverado which will aim to “reap” sales from the Ford SVP Raptor. The front end has been modified with a unique grille and fascia. The high clearance front bumper, aluminum skid plates, Fox Racing suspension, 20-inch wheels and 33-inch off-road tires will give it the needed tools to compete with the Raptor.

Under the hood, the 5.3-litre V8 has been supercharged to bring output from 355 to 475 horsepower. The engine breathes though a Corsa exhaust system. For comparison, the 6.2-litre V8 in the SVT Raptor generates 411 horses.

The Chevrolet Silverado Reaper will be available in the United States and distributed by handpicked dealers.
