Mazda6 and Jeep Cherokee: Canadian Car and SUV of the Year

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) uses the holding of the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto to reveal the names of the Canadian Car and SUV of the Year.

For 2014 the Mazda6 has been awarded the coveted title. It also came out the winner in the Best New Family Car over $30K category. In 2004, the Japanese brand took the same title with its Mazda3.

For 2014 Canadian Sport Utility Vehicle of the Year the controversial new Jeep Cherokee won top honors. The compact SUV also ranked in the pole position in the category of Best Sport Utility under $35K.
