2015 Ford F-150 2015: Less is More!

Published on February 14, 2014 in Toronto by Alain Morin

How do you save weight and get people talking about you (positively, that is)? You make your body out of aluminum! And with a new high-density steel chassis, the 2015 F-150 manages a weight reduction of about 700 pounds (317 kg) compared to the previous generation model.

In Toronto the 2015 F-150 just debuted on Canadian soil for the first time. Inspired by the Atlas concept unveiled in Detroit last year, it will use two Ecoboost V6 motors: a 2.7 and a 3.5-litre. Also featured is the 5.0-liter V8. Ford says goodbye to the old 6.2L.

As soon as it arrives on the market, we’ll test it and bring you more info on this piece of technology. For now, tinkering with the most sold vehicle in North America to this extent represents a huge risk for Ford.
