2014 Land Rover Discovery XXV Special Edition

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Discovery, Land Rover has a new special edition model called the XXV Special Edition.

The first Land Rover Discovery was unveiled in 1989 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. It’s a vehicle that quickly became an icon in the automotive world, at a time when hardcore SUVs were rare and were reserved to a very targeted audience who were looking for fully capable off-road vehicles.

Since then, more than one million copies have been produced. It should be noted that in North America, the Discovery is called the LR4.

XXV Discovery Special Edition

Designed based on the top of the line HSE edition, the XXV Discovery Special Edition is distinguished by:
- Four body colors (silver, white, gray and black)
- A blackened grille
- Black mirror housings
- 20-inch split-five-spoke alloy wheels
- XXV badges

The Discovery XXV is extremely luxurious, opting for high-quality leather and woodwork on the interior, which has become a staple for British luxury brands.

Under its hood is a 3.0-litre V6 engine with 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque; the same one also used by the new Jaguar F -Type.
