Mazda Hazumi Concept: The next version of the Mazda2

Published on March 4, 2014 in Geneva by Gilles Olivier

Mazda confirmed today that the next-generation Mazda 2 will hit the showroom floors this autumn. It was unveiled today, under the guise of the Hazumi Concept.

The Hazumi name means ''emerge or arise'' in Japanese.

The Mazda2 will therefore be the next model to use the Kodo design language, already used in the Mazda3, Mazda6 and Mazda CX-5.

Quite a lot larger, the next Mazda2 will offer more legroom for its passengers, and bigger storage spaces.

Mazda also presented a new 1.5 liter Skyactiv turbodiesel engine, found under the sleek hood of the Hazumi Concept.
