Hennessey Launches the World’s Fastest Edition Venom GT

Last February, the Hennessey Venom GT hit 435.31 km/h on the space shuttle landing runway at Cape Canaveral, becoming (unofficially) the world’s fastest production car. It is also the fastest production car to accelerate from 0 to 300 km/h, according the Guinness World Records Association.

To celebrate these records, Hennessey launched a limited version of its supercar. Named the WFE (World’s Fastest Edition), only three will be produced, and they are all sold out. The car will stand out from the plebeian Venom GT with a white paint scheme adorned with a red and blue stripe on the length of the car. This pay respects to the American flag.

The engine receives no modifications, not that it needed any. The same 7.0 liter, twin-turbo V8 resides behind the seats, ready to unleash 1244 furious horses at the slightest pressure of the driver’s right foot. The car will blast from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, and rocket to 300 km/h in 13.63 seconds, which is about the same time a Volvo 240 takes to accelerate to a safe highway speed…

The 3 Hennessey Venom GT WFEs were not more expensive than the regular Venom, since they sold for $1,250,000. For that price, it’s almost a steal!
