2015 Hyundai Sonata: South Korea’s answer to the Toyota Camry!

Only an hour after Toyota unveiled the all-new Camry, Hyundai steals the show with its own intermediate sedan, the 2015 Sonata.

The new car now boasts a luxurious style, more in line with the bigger offerings of the Korean manufacturer like the Genesis and the Equus. The Sonata is also safer, with multiple safety features like blind spot sensors, adaptative cruise control and a crash mitigation system.

The interior is also refreshed, with more luxury features. There is now an optional touchscreen, and the overall package looks tailored on the Genesis’s style. That’s not a bad thing.

Engine selection stays roughly the same, with a 2.4 liter engine as standard, and the 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder developing 245 horsepower available on the Sport Model. Of course, the only available transmission is the 6-speed automatic.

With those upgrades, the Sonata should remain a strong competitor in the midsize segment. The car will arrive in the dealership lots soon.
