The all-new Dodge Charger Unveiled in New York
Sold without many changes since 2011, the Charger receives a mid-cycle refresh this year.
At the New York Auto Show, Dodge presented us with the new look of its Charger. Nearly all the body panels are new, giving the big sedan a very different style. The designers took cues from the Dart to design the front, which now features LED strips acting as daytime-running lights. New colors will be available, like B5 Blue and TorRed.
The interior has also been upgraded with a new steering wheel, a revised shifter (paying hommage to the legendary Mopar T-Shifter), and upgraded Uconnect functionality, such as an antitheft device that sends you a text message if your car gets stolen and a Wifi Hotspot, for example.
The engine selection remains the same, with the Pentastar and its 300HP standard. The 5.7 HEMI is unchanged, and now comes with an 8-speed transmission.
The ridiculous SRT version will be announced at a later date.
