The Acura NSX Is (Literally) On Fire

If some of you doubted that Honda would be able to build a true supercar, a recent incident on the Nürburgring showed us that while we don’t know if it can beat a Ferrari yet, it can burn just like one!

Some reports from yesterday stated that a camouflaged Acura NSX was running hard on the famed German circuit. It seems that there were a few adjustments to make, since a fire started in the engine compartment. The driver barely had the time to pull over and get out of the car before the whole prototype burned to the ground.

We don’t have much detail on what caused this fiery outburst, but we can speculate that this particular car won’t see a racetrack again. However, some parts (like the electric motors giving the vehicle its all-wheel drive hybrid system) could be installed in other vehicles, since the fire did not have time to spread all the way to the front.
