Unique McLaren F1 For Sale At Pebble Beach

This year, during the auctions of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, one of the most iconic cars ever made will cross the auction block: a splendid McLaren F1 produced in 1995. And not just any F1: this one is chassis number 031 (of the 106 ever made), which means it is the only one to ever come out of the Woking factory with a Marlboro White paintjob!

The McLaren F1 is the original supercar. It is the very first production car to have a monocoque made out of carbon fibre, its engine bay is covered in gold sheets to help keep temperatures down, and thanks to its 6.1 litre V12 producing 627 HP, it still holds the record for the fastest naturally-aspirated production vehicle.

This particular car is in a pristine state, as it should be, having only been driven for 1617 kilometres! It is currently owned by its third owner, who installed the black wheels seen in the pictures. The original magnesium wheels are included, and the sale also features the owner’s manual, the toolkit and even a set of custom luggage.

So how much is it worth? Gooding & Co. estimates that since it is a unique vehicle in immaculate conditions, it could fetch between $12 and 14 million US. This is a lot of money, but this lovely supercar should be a sound investment… Assuming you can refrain from driving it!
