VW Tiguan Recalled

To give us a small respite from the never-ending recalls from GM, VW just decided to launch one of their own.

The German manufacturer just announced that they will recall the Tiguan crossover, more specifically vehicles from the 2009 to 2014 model-years. There have been a few instances where air bubbles can form in the fuel lines and cause the vehicle the stall. A total of 151,389 crossovers are affected.

The fix is mercifully easy: a simple update to the engine’s computer will increase the pressure sent by the fuel pump. Volkswagen expects to start updating customer’s vehicles around August 19.
