A Database For All Those Recalls

Published on August 27, 2014 in Recalls by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

With the recent wave of recalls plaguing the automotive industry in the last few months, it has become difficult to keep up with the recalls affecting your particular car (especially if you own a GM vehicle). Until now, there has been no way of directly searching for recalls, meaning that a lot of people ended up not having these important repairs done.

In an effort to help solve this problem, the NHTSA just unveiled a search tool on their website.

This tool is very simple to use: you just need to enter the year, make and model of your car, and a list of all the recalls issued to it will appear. You can also search for your particular car by entering its VIN.

Even better, child restraint systems, emergency vehicles and heavy machinery are also covered by this database.
