Small Updates For The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

Jeep just lifted the veil on the updated version of its most powerful truck, the Grand Cherokee SRT. While there have been no ground-breaking modifications, the SUV has received some improvements.

First of all, the engine has received some attention. Sadly, there is no Hellcat under the Jeep’s hood, but the 6.4L Hemi gains 5 horsepower and 5 pound-feet of torque, for a total of 475 and 470, respectively. This power is sent to the four wheels by an eight-speed gearbox. This combination is enough to propel the truck from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, through the quarter mile in 13.5 and to a top speed of 260 km/h, provided you have enough straight road. Even more impressive, it can do all this while comfortably seating four adults.

The exterior receives the Red Vapor appearance package. This gives a more menacing look, with various black-painted accents, 20-inch wheels in dark chrome and a red engine cover.

Prices should remain unchanged from the 2014 models.
