LumiLor And Its Phosphorescent Paint

Published on September 12, 2014 in News by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

There have been a slew of innovations in the last few years in the lighting department, to improve safety as well as to look good. After neon lightning and LEDs, it seems that the next step comes from the depths of the sea.

Bioluminescent paint is based on jellyfish and other sea creatures that can generate their own light where there is none.

The engineers at DarkSide Scientific have found a way to adapt this technique to paint, and just featured the finish on a car. Since it is a new technology, they have put it on a Tesla Model S.

According to DarkSide Scientific, this paint comes in a variety of colors and can be a applied with a simple paint gun. You just need to connect wires so you can run a current through it, and everything is then controlled through a simple computer.

We are eagerly expecting a car that will completely light up when you hit the brakes.
