Green Light for Increased Ferrari Production
With the recent announcement of Sergio Marchionne stepping up as CEO of Ferrari, lots of people saw it as the start of another chapter for the Italian company. But while the brand's car collectors may not like it, regular (rich) people that want to get their own fiery red sport car will be happy to hear the company's next announcement!
On September 13, Sergio Marchionne will sit in Ferrari's biggest chair. And while the last CEO Luca Di Montezemolo wanted to limit the number of Ferraris on the road, the new boss wants to do the exact opposite. This means that production will ramp up at Maranello, including the very exclusive LaFerrari (only 499 examples exists so far). The only possible flaw in this plan is that Ferrari has always been an exclusive brand. Will more of the Italian sports car drive the value of used examples down in a few years?
