Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid 2015: Don’t Adjust Your Set

Those of you who want to climb up Mount Everest as fast as possible while being eco-friendly can now breathe easily: at the Paris Auto Show, Porsche just unveiled their Cayenne S E-Hybrid, a green monster equipped with a 333 horsepower, 325 pound-feet of torque gasoline engine and a 95 horsepower, 229 pound-feet of torque electric motor. The combined power is rated at 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque. 0-100 km/h is taken care of in 5.9 seconds and the Cayenne can drive between 18 and 36 km on electric power alone. Obviously, if you try to replicate those 0-100 times, the overall range will probably drop down dramatically…

By the way, if you think you have already seen these numbers elsewhere, you are right: this drivetrain is the same as the one in the Panamera S E-Hybrid.

We are eagerly awaiting a Macan S E-hybrid.

In Canada, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid will start at $86,800, which is less than the equivalent Panamera ($110,000). Since it’s a Porsche, you can easily double the Cayenne’s MSRP if you decide to add a few options. Same goes for the Panamera, E-Hybrid or not.
