2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe: We're Driving It This Week

Published on October 13, 2014 in Spotlight on by Benjamin Hunting

This week we're heading to Toronto, Ontario, to drive the 2015 Cadillac ATS coupe.  As its name might suggest, the Cadillac ATS coupe is the two-door version of the recently-introduced entry-level ATS sedan, and it's designed to go head-to-head with models like the BMW 4 Series and the Audi A5.  Sound a bit presumptuous on Cadillac's part?  Not at all - the ATS sedan's platform has proven a worthy adversary to its German luxury rivals, and there's no reason why the ATS coupe shouldn't be able to build on that success.

The 2015 Cadillac ATS coupe also fulfills somewhat of a 'dual mission,' in that it's going to be replacing the soon-to-depart Cadillac CTS coupe in the automaker's line-up.  With no replacement CTS coupe on the horizon, if you want to get your two-door Cadillac fix you're going to have to give the ATS coupe a shot - or pony up big bucks for the ELR.
