Ferrari Will Remain True To Its Roots
With the upcoming change of president at Ferrari, there is a wind of uncertainty blowing over the company, especially since there have been some pretty wild rumours about new ideas that may be in the plans for the Italian manufacturer.
In a recent interview, Luca Di Montezemolo (who will be replaced by Sergio Marchionne) wanted to reassure its loyal fans: First of all, Ferrari will not build an SUV. While this type of vehicle can be a good source of revenue (ask Porsche how good the Cayenne was to their bank account!), Di Montezemolo thinks that it would be catastrophic for the brand's image.

Another rumour talked about a patent that Maranello recently obtained for a 2-cylinder V-Twin engine. Upon hearing this, lots of people thought that Ferrari was trying to develop a motorcycle. Ducati owners were happy to have another fire-prone Italian sport bike to ride, but everyone else was shocked. Once again, Di Montezemolo is unyielding: Ferrari will only build sport coupes, convertibles and supercars.
