Magnum MK5: Canada's Offering To SEMA

At this year's SEMA Show, high-performance aficionados will be able to marvel at a car that will look and feel exotic to them, but that we already know well. The Magnum MK5 is built here in Canada, and will be shown in Las Vegas.

Built for the track but still street-legal, the Magnum MK5 is Canada's first foray into the track-day toy segment. It is built using the highest engineering standards and the latest technologies in materials, such as carbon fibre and aeronautic-grade aluminium.

The car is fitted with a 4-cylinder engine that revs up to 11,000 rpm, enabling it to produce 250 horsepower. This may not seem like much, but since the whole vehicle weighs only 545 kg, the MK5 can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 240 km/h. It can also generate almost 2G of lateral acceleration.

The SEMA Show starts on November 4th, and we can't wait to see what the Americans think of the Magnum MK5.
