New Revel Sound System For Lincoln

Those who know their home entertainment systems have heard the Revel name: it is a division of Harman International (ever heard the name Harman-Kardon?) that is known for their speakers and their high-quality amplifiers.

After a partnership with Ford, buyers who are looking for the ultimate sound system in their car will now be able to select the Revel option for their Lincolns.

The various home systems sold by Revel offer lots of cutting-edge tech: For example, their mid-range speakers are located very close to the tweeters, which gives a very pure sound. Some of their top-of-the-line models (like the Revel Optima line) use the Clari-Fi technology, which uses various algorithms to recreate sounds that were lost during digital compression.

The first Lincoln to be fitted with an optional Revel sound system (instead of the standard THX system) will be the MKX crossover, which should arrive in the fall of 2015 as a 2016 model. We will experience the production version in the coming months, presumably at one of the North American auto shows.
