Regardless of the state of the economy, the antique car world is thriving: the RM Group (which includes the very popular RM Auctions and Auctions America) announced its best sales number ever for 2014, just in time for their 35th birthday.

Overall, more than 470 million dollars changed hands in their 16 auctions. 3,818 vehicles were sold.

The biggest event of the year was of course the Pebble Beach auction, which generated $143.4 million in sales.

Multiple records were broken this year: a new record was set by a Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale, which found a new home in exchange for $26.4 million.

Auctions America also saw its best year so far, with the sale of a 1935 Duesenberg Model SJ Dual Cowl Phateon by LaGrande for $1,265,000.

We have selected some of the best vehicles that have crossed RM’s auction block. Which one do you prefer?
